NASMOTO: Zolikoff Named President

Santa Monica, CA - May 17, 2007 - Entering its third racing season, NASMOTO (North American SuperMoto) has named co-founder and board member John Zolikoff as President and CEO. Zolikoff comes to NASMOTO from KTM North America, where he served as Managing Director of business development, managed KTM's parts, accessories and apparel, and was responsible for aspects of KTM's SuperMoto efforts in North America. Preceding his move to KTM, Zolikoff was an international sales and marketing manager for Harley-Davidson Motor Co.

With the goal of increasing market penetration of professional and amateur SuperMoto racing in North America, Zolikoff's first priority after taking charge at NASMOTO was to assemble a new operational team with expertise in event management, education, communication, racing and commercial development. The team has moved quickly to produce a number of exciting results, including an expanded race schedule and new partnerships and ventures which will be announced soon.

"From kids to adults to racers, motorcycle enthusiasts who experience SuperMoto get hooked on the sport," said Zolikoff. "Our goal at NASMOTO is to increase exposure for SuperMoto and bring this exhilarating experience to a broader base of fans and racers across North America."

Another move to ensure NASMOTO stays in tune with the needs of the industry was to institute a SuperMoto advisory board that consists of Brok McAllister, president of the premier regional SuperMoto series Supermoto USA; Dale Schultz, Cooperland USA Raceway owner; and Darrick Lucchesi, founder of the longest running North American SuperMoto school West Coast SuperMoto School. The charge of the board is to assist NASMOTO in developing rider, track and promoter assets.

"With our restructuring and a solid strategy now in place, NASMOTO is perfectly positioned to entertain and educate the fans, train the racers and build a world-class North American sports entertainment organization," Zolikoff explained. "These actions, while challenging, are essential to NASMOTO becoming a more agile and growth oriented firm for years to come," he said.

NASMOTO was created in 2004, in partnership with the AMA, to grow SuperMoto racing at all levels. Taking a grassroots approach by working with local clubs and promoters across North America, NASMOTO?s goal is to provide premier racing experiences for racers, fans, promoters and sponsors. New SuperMoto clubs are forming everywhere as the sport grows in the amateur ranks.
